Balkan brass is a family of band traditions linking brass and percussion with regional dance, celebration and professional musical work. Southern and western Serbian band communities belong to a broader connected regional landscape, not merely one small Guča festival circle. Neighboring Macedonian, Bulgarian and other brass worlds have related but distinctive repertories, deserving broader differentiated fields where relevant. A capital-city or festival inventory would miss this social geography.
