Summary
Os Barões da Pisadinha are a Bahian duo whose voice-and-keyboard approach helped bring pisadinha to a national audience. Their work is a major strand of Contemporary Forró, with strong connections to sound-system dancing.[1]
History
Rodrigo Barão and Felipe Barão began performing together in the Bahian interior in 2015, initially using the name Os Barões do Forró. Their official and label histories describe a circuit extending through the North and Northeast before the national breakthrough. This was an existing regional practice before it became a widely discussed streaming phenomenon.[1][2]
Music and repertoire
Singing, recognizable keyboard figures and repeating electronic dance patterns define the compact sound. 'Tá Rocheda', 'Recairei' and 'Basta Você Me Ligar' offer clear entry points. The last, with Xand Avião, connects the duo with the established band-forró world; Felipe Amorim's songwriting provides another link across the scene.[1][3]
Members and collaborators
Rodrigo supplies the lead voice and Felipe the keyboard foundation in the duo's documented core formation. Larger live productions and guests should be credited by project. The persistence of pisadinha in their name does not make that word an adequate label for every other contemporary forró artist.[1]
