Welcome to Muglobe, a developing encyclopedia of music, people and places.

Explore music geographically in the Muglobe globe, then follow the stories, sources and cultural connections here.

• Genres: Salsa · Cumbia
• Countries: Music of Colombia
• Musical regions: Music of the Brazilian Sertão · Music of Brazil Nordeste

These initial articles are clearly marked starters. The existing globe contains a much larger research catalogue; importing and editing that material into complete articles is a subsequent editorial task.

Muglobe describes musical traditions and cultural identities without ranking cultural worth. Regions and musical relationships can overlap and develop through time.
