Two currents are particularly useful for listening. In May 2025 Silvanno Salles contrasted his more driving approach with Pablo’s slower arrocha, while naming a wider field including Tayrone, Unha Pintada and newer singers. This is an artist’s account of differences, not a measured ranking. J. The scene developed through popular romantic performance around Salvador and nearby towns. Salles and Pablo connect the account to Simões Filho and Candeias respectively, without making either birthplace the full map. By 2024–25 Eskine was moving from rap/trap into arrocha, working with producer Alef Donk and HITLAB. Romantic vocal delivery and a sustained dance pulse provide a useful point of entry, but tempo and arrangement are consequential differences. The selected Salles performance represents romantic song; Eskine’s medley foregrounds successive refrains and dance continuity. His account also identifies retained R&B and trap-associated melodic influences. The map gives eastern Bahia and its connected interior the strongest field, a lighter northeastern continuation and a detached São Paulo circuit. Salles’s 2025 project at the Centro de Tradições Nordestinas documents that southeastern connection.
