== Summary ==

Slovak song in Vojvodina is a community song world spanning inherited folk repertoire, choral and ensemble performance, and newly composed popular songs. It is distinct from assuming that any recording from Slovakia represents Serbia’s Slovak-speaking communities. Its named festivals and local performers sustain a living repertoire in several settlements.<ref>[https://www.rtv.rs/sk/vojvodina/zlat%C3%BD-k%C4%BE%C3%BAc-samuelovi-kov%C3%A1covi_1665379.html RTV: Zlatý kľúč, new Slovak popular songs in Selenča, 2025]. == Contemporary and trending ==

Selenča’s Zlatý kľúč remains a source of newly composed Slovak popular song; its 2025 programme included a younger generation of singers. Folk-song festivals such as Stretnutie v pivnickom poli sustain another strand. The queue therefore includes both local folk interpretation and authored festival songs, with their different formats and dates retained.<ref>[https://hl.rs/zlaty-kluc-2025-skladba-samuela-kovaca-opat-vitazna/ Hlas ľudu: Zlatý kľúč 2025]. == History ==

Settlement and community institutions sustained Slovak language and cultural activity in the Pannonian plain. Local cultural societies, family transmission, broadcasting and festivals became complementary channels. This history helps explain connections among Bački Petrovac, Pivnica, Selenča, Kovačica, Padina and Stara Pazova without turning the whole province into one Slovak music zone.

== Musical characteristics ==

Solo and group singing may use inherited melodies and vernacular language, while festival pop songs use authored texts and contemporary band arrangements. A community repertoire need not have a single rhythm or instrumentation. The entry keeps that breadth explicit instead of labelling the Zlatý kľúč pop repertoire as ancient folk song.

== Geography and communities ==

The map uses several compact settlement-network fields, separated where the communities are geographically detached. These are approximate cultural listening areas, not boundaries of exclusive language use. Serbian popular listening and tamburica remain in the same mixes. Narrow community fields are intentional here; the national pop fields remain broad.
