== Summary ==

Rasguido doble is a Litoral song-and-dance form connecting Corrientes, Entre Ríos and neighbouring regional circuits. It receives its own entry because educational and performance sources distinguish it from chamamé and chamarrita, even within one ensemble’s programme. <ref name="southamerica2026-ar-litoral-education">[https://cge.entrerios.gov.ar/recursosaprender/musicaydanza/litoral.html Entre Ríos education, Litoral music and dance map]. == Contemporary and trending ==

Las Guitarras Gualeyas included rasguido doble in the 2025 Fogón Entrerriano programme. María Luz Erazun’s documented Sauce de Luna interpretation provides another route through the repertoire and its named local relationships. <ref name="southamerica2026-ar-fogon">[https://www.entrerios.gov.ar/cultura/con-una-nueva-edicion-en-parana-se-consolida-el-ciclo-fogon-entrerriano/ Entre Ríos culture, Fogón Entrerriano in Paraná, 10 May 2025]. == History ==

The regional educational map places rasguido doble among musical forms circulating from Corrientes through the wider Litoral. Riverine movement and local adoption are more useful here than an unsupported claim that one modern administrative boundary contains its entire history. <ref name="southamerica2026-ar-litoral-education">[https://cge.entrerios.gov.ar/recursosaprender/musicaydanza/litoral.html Entre Ríos education, Litoral music and dance map]. == Musical characteristics ==

Repeated accompaniment patterns and clearly shaped phrases support singing and partnered movement. Listen to how melody sits over the accompaniment and how interludes return to the song. The exact guitar, accordion or ensemble balance belongs to the individual version, not a mandatory instrument formula.

== Geography and communities ==

Overlapping Corrientes and Entre Ríos fields form a connected north–south Litoral landscape, including provincial towns and rural musical networks. A weaker Buenos Aires field represents adopted and migrant repertoire circulation.

== Artists ==

Víctor Larrosa’s Sauce de Luna is explicitly classified as rasguido doble in the provincial library programme. The selected María Luz Erazun recording keeps the song and performer connected to that evidence; her wider catalogue includes several other genres. <ref name="southamerica2026-ar-library">[https://www.entrerios.gov.ar/cultura/actividades-de-verano-arte-y-musica-entrerriana-en-la-biblioteca-provincial/ Entre Ríos culture, summer music at provincial library, 2024].
