== Summary ==

Polish Romani music is a community and scene listening view spanning Romani musical theatre, songs and public performance connected to Poland. It contains several styles and languages; Roma identity does not imply one sound, and a commercial stage repertoire is not the whole of Roma musical life.<ref name="poland2026-romamap">[https://e-drom.pl/en/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/ENG_02.pdf E-Drom: Map of Romani Culture in Poland], consulted 25 October 2026.</ref>

== Contemporary and trending ==

Named ensembles and performers circulate through recordings, cultural events and concerts. Community transmission and public entertainment overlap but have different purposes, which this collection keeps visible in its descriptions.<ref name="poland2026-roma">[https://e-drom.pl/en/edward-debicki/ E-Drom: Edward Debicki, Terno and Polish Romani performance], consulted 25 October 2026.</ref>

== History ==

Edward Dębicki founded Terno in Gorzów in 1955 and developed songs, theatre and international performance. Its history provides a particular artistic lineage rather than a general origin story for every Roma community or musician in Poland.<ref name="poland2026-roma">[https://e-drom.pl/en/edward-debicki/ E-Drom: Edward Debicki, Terno and Polish Romani performance], consulted 25 October 2026.</ref>

== Musical characteristics ==

Voices, accordion and dance-band arrangements recur in the selected public repertoire, with changing ensemble and studio textures. Named original songs, traditional repertoire and adopted popular works keep their actual performance identities.

== Geography and communities ==

The map uses separated cultural and performance circuits around Gorzów, Ciechocinek and southern communities. These are deliberately approximate connections, not residential ethnic boundaries or a claim that Roma are absent between the fields.<ref name="poland2026-romamap">[https://e-drom.pl/en/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/ENG_02.pdf E-Drom: Map of Romani Culture in Poland], consulted 25 October 2026.</ref>

== Artists ==

Terno with Edward Dębicki, Don Vasyl and Roma, and Dziani provide different entrances. Documentary interviews, family-reality clips and spoken testimony are excluded from music rotation.
