== Summary ==

The Comarca Lagunera joins rural vocal traditions with the urban and popular circuits of Torreón, Gómez Palacio and Lerdo. Canto cardenche is a distinctive local route within this larger listening mixture.<ref name="mex2026-cardenche">[https://sic.cultura.gob.mx/ficha.php?table=discografica_dgcpi&table_id=27 La canción cardenche], consulted 24 October 2026.</ref>

== Contemporary and trending ==

Listeners can compare Los Cardencheros de Sapioriz with Coro Acardenchado’s arranged vocal approach. Norteño, corrido and Mexican hip-hop provide other routes through the region’s varied listening world.

Teaching and contemporary reworkings connect those histories to newer ensembles and audiences without turning the whole region into a traditional-song preserve.<ref name="mex2026-cardenche2">[https://musiteca.mx/micrositios/canto-cardenche Canto cardenche: community and contemporary transmission], consulted 24 October 2026.</ref>
