== Summary ==

Zakarpattia’s towns and Tysa-valley villages combine contemporary popular listening with shared and community-specific dance and song. Maramoroș village music and Uzhhorod’s Romani jazz networks offer different local entrances.<ref name="ukr2026-hudaki">[https://hudakivillageband.com/ua/pro-nas.html Hudaki Village Band: Maramoroș village music and shared repertoire], consulted 25 October 2026.</ref>

== Contemporary and trending ==

Hungarian-speaking communities around Berehove and Romanian-speaking communities along the Tysa are not interchangeable with Hutsul settlements. The local mix leaves those distinctions visible in the article and recordings without exclusive ethnic polygons.<ref name="ukr2026-hungarian">[https://www.ukrainer.net/en/hungarians-of-ukraine/ Ukraїner: Hungarians of Ukraine], consulted 25 October 2026.</ref><ref name="ukr2026-romanian">[https://www.ukrainer.net/en/romanians-of-ukraine/ Ukraїner: Romanians of Ukraine], consulted 25 October 2026.</ref><ref name="ukr2026-pap">[https://travel.rada-uzhgorod.gov.ua/?p=1547 Uzhhorod city: Romani musical society and Pap Jazz Fest], consulted 25 October 2026.</ref>

== History ==

Ukrainian, Hungarian, Romanian, Jewish and Romani neighbours have exchanged music while retaining distinct repertoires and identities. Hudaki documents a connected village-music practice; Pap Jazz Fest documents another performance network.<ref name="ukr2026-hudaki">[https://hudakivillageband.com/ua/pro-nas.html Hudaki Village Band: Maramoroș village music and shared repertoire], consulted 25 October 2026.</ref>

== Artists ==

The linked collections identify actual performers and individual works. Ukrainian popular acts coexist with village/revival ensembles and named community musicians; the region does not imply that every track by a local artist belongs to one genre.

== Boundary definition and research ==

Approximate authored musical frame. Stored live reference land is intersected with the described landscape; metropolitan circles approximate connected urban catchments and are removed from broad neighbouring rural frames. Small shoreline margins retain border/port communities. Boundaries overlap and do not identify ethnicity, survey results or present military control. The national Ukraine and other pre-existing regional geometries remain unchanged.
