== Summary ==

Romanian Moldavia and Bucovina connect regional folk and dance, Roma brass and other professional musicians, and contemporary national listening. The Romanian regional frame is distinct from the neighboring Republic of Moldova.<ref name="ro2026-brass">[https://www.asphalt-tango.de/shop?c=223 Asphalt Tango Records: Fanfare Ciocărlia recordings], consulted 25 October 2026.</ref>

== Contemporary and trending ==

Iași and Bacău have more urban programmes within a regional mix that retains folk, manele, pop, rap, trap and rock. Romanian brass repertoire receives a local route around its northeastern networks; the wider Balkan category is not used to substitute an unrelated Serbian playlist. The rotation is an editorial listening mix; no survey percentage is represented as an exact playback share.

== History ==

Regional celebrations and professional ensembles sustain local practices alongside modern distribution. Fanfare Ciocărlia’s Zece Prăjini roots and Bacău’s electronic connections demonstrate why the northeast cannot be reduced to a single traditional genre.

== Artists ==

Sofia Vicoveanca, Fanfare Ciocărlia and eastern-connected electronic producers sit alongside contemporary national repertoire. Named ensemble origins and cross-border collaborations remain explicit.

== Boundary definition and research ==

Approximate connected listening frame, clipped to the existing Romanian land outline. Overlap is intentional. The outline is neither an ethnic boundary nor a claim that musical taste changes abruptly at its edge.
