== Life and career ==
Afrisson's biography records studies at Temple University's Tyler School of Art before his move into music. Music In Africa places him among the performers who helped make hipco audible in Liberia's contemporary popular life.<ref name="buckay-profile" /><ref name="buckay-history" />

== Music and style ==
The combination of hipco and reggae connects two distinct expressive resources. Hipco's use of colloquial Liberian language gives its stories a local address, while reggae supplies another part of Buckay's stylistic vocabulary. His collaboration with [[Takun J]] places that work within a network of performers using popular music to discuss social experience.<ref name="buckay-profile" /><ref name="buckay-history" />

== Works and performances ==
'Behold Behold' and 'Hold Yu' are representative songs; he also appears on [[Takun J]]'s 'It Not Right'. Czech Radio included 'Behold Behold' in its November 2011 international playlist, documenting one route by which the recording reached listeners outside Liberia.<ref name="buckay-profile" /><ref name="buckay-history" /><ref name="buckay-radio">[https://www.czech.radio/node/5230854 Czech Radio: Total Global A–Z Mix, playlist, 18 November 2011].
