Their work connects inherited vocal practices with the production and audiences of Contemporary Forró.

History
The duo's account of its musical formation emphasizes family transmission, radio listening, cavalgadas and vaquejadas. Their great-grandfather Zé Leobino belongs to the family history they describe. Luiz Gonzaga and Kara Véia are named listening references, connecting domestic learning with a wider recorded repertoire.

Music and repertoire
The voice carries rural narrative and characteristic melodic expression into contemporary dance arrangements. Traditional continuity here is not limited to the use of an acoustic trio: ways of singing and choosing repertoire can survive changes in accompaniment. Their music therefore offers a meaningful overlap between Traditional Forró and Forró de vaquejada, depending on the performance.

Members and collaborators
The two brothers perform as a duo rather than as a generic label for vaquejada singers. Projects including Origens and Abre a Porteira make their relationship with inherited repertoire explicit. Their own family account provides the best starting point for understanding that identity.
