Back in Zimbabwe, his work included radio, live promotion and developing the Frontline Kids. The interview also recalls performing with Transit Crew.<ref name="zindi-interview" />

== Music and style ==
Guitar and voice connect his own performance practice with Zimbabwe's band scene. His sustained engagement with reggae included work around Aswad and relationships with visiting performers. Promotion, radio and band organization helped create occasions for that music to circulate, alongside his writing about local styles and musicians.<ref name="zindi-interview" />
