== Summary ==

Forró eletrônico is the amplified band and production world that reorganized [[Forró]] through regional entertainment businesses, large dance events and rapidly circulating recordings. It combines a forró rhythmic foundation with keyboards, electric instruments, multiple vocalists and varied popular-song arrangements. <ref name="southamerica2026-marques-cariri">[https://www.scielo.br/j/cpa/a/WPXrfx9wHcHNhpjFMtdg3zQ/?lang=pt Roberto Marques, Quem se garante no forró eletrônico?, Cadernos Pagu 43 (2014)]. == Contemporary and trending ==

The electronic category contains successive band formats and stylistic changes. Forró estilizado and newer pop-facing hybrids belong to this discussion, while [[Pisadinha / piseiro]] has a separately described keyboard/sound-system history. These names do not establish mutually exclusive artist populations. <ref name="southamerica2026-opovo-piseiro">[https://mais.opovo.com.br/reportagens-especiais/pisadinha-novo-ritmo-musical/2021/02/19/aumenta-o-som-do-paredao--o-sucesso-da-pisadinha.html Bruna Forte, Aumenta o som do paredão, O Povo (19 February 2021)]. == History ==

Fortaleza-based production and distribution were central to the expansion from the 1990s. Marques describes a system linking bands, recording, radio and venues and follows the scene into the Cariri. This history explains why a metropolitan production hub and a substantial interior audience form one connected landscape. <ref name="southamerica2026-marques-cariri">[https://www.scielo.br/j/cpa/a/WPXrfx9wHcHNhpjFMtdg3zQ/?lang=pt Roberto Marques, Quem se garante no forró eletrônico?, Cadernos Pagu 43 (2014)]. == Musical characteristics ==

Instrumentation extends the acoustic reference into electric bass, keyboards, drum kit and other amplified parts. Arrangements absorb romantic and dance-pop repertoire; vocal delivery, instrumental accents, stage presentation and dance participation all matter. The electronic label denotes musical and social organization as well as equipment. <ref name="southamerica2026-quadros-volp">[https://www.periodicos.rc.biblioteca.unesp.br/index.php/motriz/article/download/171/142/0 Quadros Junior and Volp, Forró Universitário, Motriz 11(2), 2005, pp.117–120]. == Geography and communities ==

The main interpretation follows Ceará and connected northern northeastern circuits, the eastern Nordeste and inland-to-coastal routes, with a differentiated Bahia field. Southeastern touring and migrant audiences receive lighter treatment. Cariri ethnography prevents equating electronic production with exclusively capital-city life; it also documents differences among participants within the same event. <ref name="southamerica2026-marques-cariri">[https://www.scielo.br/j/cpa/a/WPXrfx9wHcHNhpjFMtdg3zQ/?lang=pt Roberto Marques, Quem se garante no forró eletrônico?, Cadernos Pagu 43 (2014)]. == Artists ==

Mastruz com Leite, Cavalo de Pau, Aviões do Forró and Calcinha Preta illustrate important phases. Tarcísio do Acordeon describes a later practice that retains accordion while using a compact keyboard-based arrangement. Individual recordings can cross the boundaries between electronic forró, piseiro and vaquejada styles. <ref name="southamerica2026-opovo-piseiro">[https://mais.opovo.com.br/reportagens-especiais/pisadinha-novo-ritmo-musical/2021/02/19/aumenta-o-som-do-paredao--o-sucesso-da-pisadinha.html Bruna Forte, Aumenta o som do paredão, O Povo (19 February 2021)]. Production, radio, touring and participation connect cities with surrounding towns. The strongest fields sit over northern and eastern northeastern networks rather than assigning an isolated dot to each band’s birthplace.

The fields express editorial judgments about relative musical affinity and reach, not measured audience shares. Radius is the zero edge of a linear fade; same-genre overlaps combine by maximum.
