== Summary ==

Amazonense border song is a listening family of locally composed songs and arrangements in the Colombia–Brazil–Peru border world. Spanish, Portuguese and Indigenous-language participation make it more specific than treating Leticia and Tabatinga as copies of distant national capitals.<ref name="amz2026-border2">[https://repositorio.artesaniasdecolombia.com.co/handle/001/6272 Artesanías de Colombia: Pirarucú de Oro and the three-country encounter], consulted 24 October 2026.</ref>

== Contemporary and trending ==

The Pirarucú de Oro circuit connects composers, singers and instrumental groups. The selected Pedro Bernal and Ana Salive performances offer popular-song and fusion entrances, rather than claiming one fixed rhythm or instrumental lineup.

== History ==

River towns, migration and local cultural institutions have sustained exchange across the border. The murga is one important ensemble format within this larger world, not an alias for every recorded song.<ref name="amz2026-border">[https://www.radionacional.co/cultura/al-alcance-de-los-ninos Radio Nacional: Leticia’s Amazonense song and murga], consulted 24 October 2026.</ref>

== Musical characteristics ==

Locally grounded lyrics and melody can appear in varied dance and song arrangements. Murga commonly uses percussion and a melodic lead such as saxophone, keyboard accordion or harmonica; contemporary song arrangements may use other instruments.

== Geography and communities ==

Leticia, Tabatinga, Puerto Nariño, Caballococha and connected upper-river communities provide the initial field. The category expresses a shared scene while retaining differences between countries, languages and named communities.

== Artists ==

Pedro Bernal’s “Todo el mundo”, his interpretation of Alfonso Dávila Riveiro’s “Nombre de Mujer”, and “Mariquiña” with Ana Salive provide three credited examples. The selection leaves room for more murga ensembles and Portuguese-language composers.
