Summary
Trio Nordestino is a Brazilian Forró ensemble associated with the classic accordion, zabumba and triangle tradition. Its name spans successive generations of performers, making it an important example of continuity through changing personnel.

History
The celebrated formation of Lindu, Coroné and Cobrinha built a widely circulated recorded repertoire. Later musicians continued the ensemble's work, with family connections among the generations. Archival photographs and dated recording credits are useful for distinguishing those formations rather than assuming every appearance shows the original trio.

Music and repertoire
Songs such as 'Chupando Gelo' and 'Procurando Tu' combine dance momentum with memorable singing. The repertoire ranges across forró's related forms rather than one invariant beat. Later projects, including O Baú do Trio Nordestino, revisited older material with guests, linking the group to renewed acoustic-forró audiences.

Members and collaborators
Lindu, Coroné and Cobrinha belong to the ensemble's classic recording history. Later credits include Luiz Mário, Beto do Acordeom and Coroneto. Collaborations with Elba Ramalho, Dominguinhos and Falamansa connect the trio tradition with several generations of Brazilian music.
